‘River’

Raised and shown as a youngster by the then team of Monica Rear and Keven Harris, River won a goodly number of Best In Show awards and managed to strike the right balance of movement and temperament.

Notable for his obedient habit of sitting still on the grooming trolley for hours on end, this is the Siberian male we all think does not exist. River is biddable. You can ask him to do something and he will. Not sure that I have too much of that sort of thing happening around here but River sure manages to keep it happening.

A good upper middle sized dog with light red coat and brown eyes, he has produced well for Keven Harris though I have yet to breed him myself. Just didn’t find the time for them all to be bred with our work commitments.

Mostly retired now from the showring, River maintains a dignified and calm presence in our kennels and is always the gentleman everyone says they would firstly take home. No way!

We hope to be able to use this stunning dog in our breeding in the coming years - he certainly has qualities that the breed needs to retain.
