Well, this girl is forever to be known as “my butch bitch” having always cocked her leg when she pees. Notwithstanding, she is magnificent.

This is the girl you would firstly hitch up to the team without a blink in the knowledge that she would get you home come what may. There is a quiet determination about Halley, a kind of dogged perseverance that says I am “no nonsense” and whatever we have to do will get done. She kind of sets the head forward, picks up momentum and then strides around that ring with a purpose and drive that defeats most on the day.

Halley is a multiple Best in Show winning girl having won notably the Dalwood Dog Show in Sydney under overseas judges. She is kind of pig headed, a loner and an alpha bitch. “Don’t mess with Halley” could be her motto. God help the handler who tries to force Halley to hold attention and get animation on the stack if she doesn’t choose to obey.

I think deep down she hasn’t forgiven me for not handling her myself as we did bond in her early days and when I was able to still run. She can be a cow and I suspect has thrown more than one or two shows on the day with her obstinacy and her “I have been sucking lemons” look that she can be prone to do. We love her anyway and no kennel should be without a Halley to keep you humble.
