My first Canadian Siberian - Gabbie. What a pretty girl you were. Neat, petite, and more like owning a cat than a dog. Soft, grey and a softer than butter expression, you delighted and cheered everyone.
A Best in Show winner for Jon at his very first attempt at handling you spoilt the show ring for ever after as he then expected to win every time!
There was a lot of your old sire “Sky” (Can/Int Ch Tundrafoots Devil Indeskyz) about you. You and your brother “Tazz” (Can Ch Tundrafoot’s Tazzmaniac) were very alike and both had that joi de vivre that makes owning a Siberian a pleasurable experience. We loved you a lot Gabbie.
You were taken too early from us - a spider bite and you were gone 3 days later - not the spider bite that got you but the heart attack that followed with the stress.
We never bred you more than once - you were just so hard to time and you were always to be an outcross but we loved you anyway. Whether it was sleeping at my feet in our Winnebago at the shows, or floating around St. Ives show to win yet another award or vacuuming up your food which was so out of sync with an elegant and oh so pretty girl, you captured our hearts forever.
Somewhere there is a little girl in Siberian heaven running free thinking she is a big girl and howling at the moon. Though I have but one boy from you it is the memory of you that delights us and marks you a special place in the history of our kennels.
