‘Pepper’

This is one of my earlier breedings from lines that we accessed down through the efforts of Kolyma Kennels and the “then” team of Edna and Rex Harper.
Pepper was all legs and neck as a youngster causing much angst and serious ponderings as to what he would grow into. A stunning pale grey/white with blue eyes, I despaired of him ever growing “into” himself.

Strong willed, strong bodied and a total disconnection of brain and body, Pepper was always a handful to show taking one rather strong handler clear out of the ring on his out part of the out & back, to much hilarity ringside. Pepper won at an early age, DCC and RUBOB under Jean Lanning at the Brisbane Royal Show setting the scene and seeds of thought to sending him to England to be shown.

A friendship with Ralph & Sue Holmes saw Pepper wing his way to Yorkshire in England and then finally on to living in central France with the Holmes at their new home there. A much travelled dog and one who has done well in his veteran years fulfilling his potential as a late bloomer.

His progeny, especially young Tag owned by Colin Langan in England, has done well in the show ring.

Though an old dog now, Pepper continues to look much younger than his many years and hopefully will live long enough to learn to understand French!

Sadly Pepper passed to Rainbow Bridge recently - run free sweet Pepper.
